We need a hands-on Full Stack PHP Developer to maintain and enhance our existing plugins, build new plugin features, and help shape a world-class engineering culture.
What You'll Do
- Maintain and extend our existing our WordPress plugins, ensuring high code quality and stability.
- Develop new plugins and features, following best practices and scalable architecture.
- Write efficient, reusable, and maintainable code in PHP (OOP) and JavaScript (ES6 + React.js).
- Implement and extend functionality using WordPress actions, filters, and hooks.
- Work with REST APIs, custom post types, and advanced WordPress data structures.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers to build modern React-based plugin interfaces.
- Use Docker for consistent local development environments.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical planning.
- Stay current with WordPress Core updates and evolving best practices.
What We’re Looking For
If you don’t have these, this role may not be a fit:
- 2–3 years of professional experience with WordPress development.
- Strong understanding of WordPress core, including hooks, filters, and plugin architecture.
- Solid experience with PHP (OOP) and JavaScript (ES6 + React.js).
- Experience developing custom plugins (not just theme customization).
- Familiarity with REST API integration, AJAX, and data handling in WordPress.
- Working knowledge of Docker or similar containerized environments.
- Version control experience with Git and collaborative workflows.
- Familiarity with Composer, WP-CLI, and unit testing.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to write clean, maintainable code.
